Ph.D. in English Literature in 1988 from Cairo University. Thesis: “The Evolution of Wordsworth’s Prelude”: A Study in the Growth of a Modern Epic”.

MA in Liberal Arts, St. John’s College, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1982. Title of Thesis: “On the Breakdown of Love In Shakespeare’s Troilus and Criseyde”.
